Abstract

1,027,433. Rotating display devices. FRANK MAYER & ASSOCIATES Inc. Feb. 27, 1963, No. 7858/63. Heading G5C. A display sign is freely rotatably suspended from an overhead support 7 and rotated by a drive means 9, coupled to the sign by a flexible motion transmission element 10. Fig. 1 shows a sign 5 suspended by wires incorporating a swivel 16 (Fig. 2, not shown) and rotated by a motor 9, powered by a battery and mounted in a casing 23 on the floor (Fig. 4, not shown). Fig. 3 (not shown) illustrates how a pole may be inserted in coiled shank 14 to hook the device to a support 7. A number of sections may be united to form the display sign, and may revolve separately. The display may be illuminated, and the driving element 10 may be connected off-centre of the display.
