Abstract

1,024,409. Injection devices. STILLEWERNER A.B. Dec. 22,1964 [Dec. 30,1963], No. 52102/64. Heading A5R. [Also in Division F2]. A medical cock or valve for control of fluid between fluid receptacles and a catheter, comprises a cock body 10 with fittings 11,12,13 and a hollow cock plug 14 turnably arranged in the cock body 10 the cock plug having a puncturable membrane 20 through which injections may be made to the cavity in the plug 14 formed by the membrane 20 and the end wall of the plug 14. The plug 14 is rotatable in the body 10 such that the cavity is in communication with the fittings 11,12,13 via parts 17,18,19 in the plug 14. The plug 14 may be a hollow conical cylinder and may be formed in two parts such that the membrane 20 is clamped between the two parts and one part extends into the other. The inner wall of the plug and/or the peripheral wall of the membrane may be provided with beads, ridges or grooves to retain the membrane in position in the plug.
