Abstract

1,022,841. Air break switches. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Feb. 14, 1963 [Feb. 15, 1962], No. 5970/63. Heading H2B. A three-phase isolating switch comprises bridging contact members 7, 8, 9 pivoted upon shafts 13, 14, 15 journalled in a stand 16 having a plane upper surface, each shaft lying parallel to a line passing through the corresponding fixed contacts and being on the opposite side of a plane, normal to said surface and passing through said line, to the moving contact in its open position. The contact bridges 7, 8, 9 are carried upon insulators 10, 11, 12 coupled by a linkage 18 to a pivoted operating arm 17. The contact bridges may be constituted by cartridge fuses.
