Abstract

1022318 Fan heaters VAN DER HEEM N V 18 March 1964 [18 March 1963] 11348/64 Headings F4V and VB2A In a fan heater, to obtain an evenly distributed slow-speed flow of air over a large outlet area, an axial type fan sucks air through the bottom of the housing and the column of air "trapped" above is ejected centrifugally towards the outlet at the front. As shown in plan, Fig. 2, the wall of the fan housing may have unequal legs 13, 14, and a deflector 17 may be mounted on (or formed in) the wall 13 to direct air towards the end 16 of the outlet.
