Abstract

1,021,664. Prefabricated building units. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. Aug. 17, 1962 [Aug. 17, 1961], No. 29371/62. Heading E1A. In a prefabricated building unit comprising a floor portion, a ceiling portion, and wall portions, and including a tubular metal framework of horizontal arid vertical beams, the wall portion 6 between vertical beams 2, 3 is of a foamed concrete faced with hard paper 13 and insulating material 26 covered with a polyester sheeting 29. As shown in Fig. 2, the wall portions 6 of different units are edged with profiled plates 7 and are joined to each other by filling pieces 31, 32. In a single unit, internal wall portions, Fig. 3 (not shown), covered on both faces with hard paper are joined to each other and to a beam 2 by anhydrous adhesive. Outside wall portions (not shown) are secured to vertical supports 15 which are secured by fastening bolts 16 to side wall portions 6.
