Abstract

A stockless anchor comprises a shank 1, Figs. 1 and 3 (not shown), and an anchor head hingedly connected thereto at one end, the anchor head comprising crown plates 10 and 11 hingedly connected to the shank and flukes 4 and 5 fixedly mounted on the crown plates, the effective area of the crown plates being substantially 75% of the effective area of the flukes, and the flukes being straight-sided.
