Abstract

Sun and weather screens for tyres of vehicle wheels.-For protecting the tyre of a stationary motor-vehicle wheel from the action of the sun and weather, a foldable cover formed of flexible material upon a ribbed framework is adapted to be clipped to the wheel or its axle cap. As shown, a central pin 3 carrying the ribs 1 is provided with a bracket 19 attached to a clip 20, 20<A> fitting the axle-cap. The vertical rib 5<B> is fixed upon the pin 3, and the other ribs are capable of turning upon the pin, the innermost and outermost ribs 16 15 being secured together, when the cover is in operative position, by means of a retaining-member 17 attached to the rib 16. On the inner and outer sides of the wheel, the ends of the flexible material are secured as at 11, 14 respectively. The cover may be attached to the spokes instead of to the axle-cap.
