A prefabricated transparent enclosure for a swimming pool is provided with folding doors 7, removable panels which may serve as windbreaks and a partially counter balanced central roof section 8a which is hinged at 4 and operated by pulley block means 11, power actuation or counter balanced lever means. The doors slide in guideways 12, 13 from which they may be disengaged.
