Abstract

1,014,630. X-ray tables. MULLARD Ltd. Nov. 6, 1964, No. 45322/64. Heading A4H. [Also in Division H5] An adjustable couch comprises a base member 1 connected to a support member 2 which is associated with panels 16, 17, 18 and includes two portions 3, 4 connected together in tandem along the length of the couch, portion 4 comprising a central column lying on the longitudinal centre line of the couch and portion 3 comprising a closed frame defining a central area of the couch. The support member 2 is provided with runners 5 slidable in slots 6 in the base member 1. The panels 16, 17 are slidable on the portions 3, 4 and the panel 18 is detachably mounted on a U-shaped member 9 connected to the portion 4. The base member includes adjustably mounted float tables 12, 14 which permit longitudinal and lateral movement of the couch relative to a datum position of the couch.
