Abstract

1,014,474. Milling cutters. BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO. Ltd. Feb. 27, 1963 [Nov. 29, 1961], No. 42606/61. Heading B3K. A milling-cutter comprises one or more rings 7 carrying the blades 11 and mounted on a body part 1. Each blade is secured in the ring by a radially-movable wedge 12, Fig. 4, secured axially by a screw 15 and located by a pin 13. The ring is screwed on to the body by a buttress thread 6. In a modification, the ring 19, Fig. 5, is engaged by driving dogs 22 and held by swivelling clamps 24 secured by screws 25. Each blade is located by a ledge 31 in its groove. Two scraper blades 32, Fig. 9, may be fitted.
