Abstract

1,013,659. Sanitary appliances. E. J. HILL. Sept. 3, 1964 [March 27, 1964], No. 36229/64. Heading A4N. An urine sample collector is secured in position on an infant's body by the adhesion of the outer surface of a resilient pad 12, the inner surface of which is fixed to collecting member 10. A release paper 15 is stripped off to expose adhesive layer 14 which is formed on the face of a rubber sponge or polyurethane foam pad 12. Collecting member 10 is of low-density thinwalled polythene and has a circular hole 1101 coinciding with a hole 120 in pad 12. The sample may be retained in latex balloon 20 or drained through spigot 1131 and a flexible tube to a remote receptacle. A locating ridge 1103 is provided on top surface 110.
