Furnace details.-A tilting furnace is supported on an underframe which moves during tilting of the furnace so as to compensate for horizontal displacement of the spout or spouts. In the arrangement shown, the furnace body is fitted with curved rails e<1> resting on pairs of wheels d<1>, d<2>. On the axles of these wheels are rollers g<1>, g<2> of appropriate diameter bearing on pairs of wheels h1, h<1>1, h2, h<1>2, the axles of which are linked together.
