[Also in Division F2] In a Hooke's joint for motor-vehicle propeller shafts, needle bearing cups 13 are force-fitted in bores 3 in the yokes, the strength of the forcefits being increased by, prior to assembling the cups in the bores, coating one or both the cooperating surfaces of each cup and bore with a polymerizable liquid compound which polymerizes spontaneously to set solid, upon the exclusion of air from the compound, and bond the cups to the yoke bores. Specifications 724,188 and 824,677 are referred to.
