Abstract

1,012,113. Scaffolding. MARTIN THOMAS Ltd. June 10, 1964 [June 19, 1963], No. 24350/ 63. Heading E1S. A workmans staging of tubes of square or rectangular cross-section comprises two base frames 2A, 2B connected by removable horizontal bars 3 and diagonal bars 4 and, at the top, by frames 5 spigotted into the upright 8 of the base frames and also into upper frames 6 connected by diagonal bars 7. The staging is extended upwards by further frames 5 and 6. The staging is mounted on adjustable feet 15 or castors. The bars 3, 4, 7 engage the frames by means of hooks, the hooks of the diagonal bars each having a mouth of such a width that they lock on the bars when moved from horizontal to diagonal position.
