[Also in Division A2] Hollow chocolate bodies are centrifugally cast in a two-piece mould one half of which has a truncated conical pin projecting therefrom, the pin being of such a height, and having a shap inner edge, that the chocolate 15 adhering to the inner end of said pin may subsequently be pushed easily inwards (see Fig. 2), after removal of said pin, to facilitate easy filling and accurate location of a sealing drop (see Fig. 3, not shown). In one embodiment (see Fig. 4), the moulds comprise upper and lower halves 4 and 2, a frusto-conical pin 6, having a sharp-edged flat inner surface 6a and a cylindrical portion 6b, being located in holes 5 in each mould. The pins abut discs 7 which are in turn resiliently mounted by washer 8 and bolt 9 on a pressure plate 11. If required, several layers of moulds may be stacked as in Fig. 5 (not shown) and mounted on a known centrifugal moulding machine. The inner surface 6a may be concave (see Fig. 6, not shown) or may carry cylindrical projections (see Fig. 8, not shown). The pins may comprise suitably shaped protrusions on a resilient sheet which is located adjacent the upper surface of the appropriate mould half (see Figs. 6 and 8, not shown), the protrusions being located in holes in said mould halves.
