An open-centre single or multiple row ball or roller thrust bearing comprises an outer race ring 1, an outer abutting ring 2, inner race rings 3 and 5 and an intermediate ring 4. The assembled alignment of the bearing and its operating clearances are determined by particular selection of the rings 2 and 4. To facilitate assembly all the rings are divided radially into annular segments, the joints of one ring being offset from the joints in other rings, and the rings are connected together by screws arranged parallel to the axis of the bearing.
