1,009,280. Gas burners. PARKINSON COWAN Ltd. July 20, 1964 [July 20, 1963], No. 28827/63. Heading F4T. A gas burner comprising parts 14, 15, 18 has a set 10 of main ports and a set 12 of auxiliary ports fed from mixing chambers 11, 13 respectively with aerated gas. Gas is supplied to ports 12 at a low rate through restriction 21 as compared to the flow to ports 10. A duplex tap has two flow paths for gas to each mixing chamber, gas being supplied to ports 12 through- . out the opening movement of the tap but only to ports 10 for large openings of the tap. The flame from ports 12 serves to keep alight the flame from ports 10 particularly when slowburning gases, e.g. butane, are used.
