Abstract

1009,056. Spring clips. A. V. RAYMOND [trading as A. RAYMOND DURCKKNOPFUND METALLWARENFABRIK]. Nov. 29, 1963 [Nov. 30, 1962], No. 47266/63. Heading E2B. A resilient fastener is formed from a single strip of material and comprises a substantially flat body 1, a foot 2 extending from one end of the body and bent away from the body to one side thereof, an arm 4a extending substantially at right angles from the other end of the body and to the other side thereof in relation to the foot, a lug 7 extending from said other end of the body beyond the arm 4a and generally aligned with the body and a tongue 8 sheared and bent out of the body on the same side thereof as the foot. In the construction shown the foot has two prongs and there is a second arm 4b ; the two arms extend generally parallel and with the lug 7 between them. The fastener is used for attaching a panel 9 to a television cabinet, the panel being positioned against an upright portion 12 of the cabinet and the lug 7 engaging underneath the panel with the arms 4 pressing against the face of the panel and with the feet in a groove 11. The tongue 8 then serves to retain the fastener in this position..
