Abstract

100,891. Pratt, A. B. July 14, 1915, [Convention date]. Accessories; hats, securing to head; helmets.- A helmet is combined with a pistol or other firearm. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the helmet comprises a lower part 1 provided with a flat top which forms the base-plate for the pistol, and an upper part 7 formed with a projecting hood 213 for protecting the barrel 35. The upper part can be detached and used as a cooking-utensil. The helmet is secured to the head by a back flap 17 and a chin-strap 21. A draw thread 27 along the edge of the flap is attached to the pivot of the chin-strap in such a way that it is automatically tightened when the chin-strap is lowered into position.
