Abstract

1,007,509. Mixing appliances. W. HERMANNS. March 16, 1964 [April 2, 1963], No. 10938/64. Heading B1C. A mixer for materials at least one of which is powdered or granular comprises a closed mixing tank 1 connected in the air intake line 6, 10 of a pump 11, the intake having a nozzle 7 through which the powder is sucked into the tank, a filter 9 preventing it from passing into the pump. The tank has a discharge valve 2 and an agitator 3 driven by a motor 4 which may be inside the tank as shown, or outside. There may be more than one pipe 6 for different kinds of material and the amount of each introduced into the tank may be controlled automatically by mounting it on an electronic weigher (not depicted).
