A submerged are welding flux for the automatic welding of Cu, Sn bronze or Mn bronze consist in proportions by weight of: .MnO.30-50% .SiO2.35-50% .CaF2.1-10% .CaO.0-10% .MgO.0-6% .Al2O3.0-6% The electrode wire used will match the material to be welded and it may also be a cored wire containing a core flux consisting of 5% CaF2 and 95% MnSiO3 (Hausmannite) with alloying elements and sodium silicate as a binder.
