Abstract
1,004,761. Reinforced brickwork floor panels. D. LAMANNA. Dec. 15, 1961 [Dec. 17, 1960], No. 45033/61. Heading E1V. A preformed floor, &c. panel comprises a pair of reinforced concrete beams 43, 44 cast in spaces provided between a central and two terminal brickwork sections 1, 37, 38, which have load transmitting diagonals 5, 6, 7, 8, 49, 50, the beams having bases 15, 16 formed by brickwork having marginal parts which extend laterally into cavities 9, 10, 39, 40 in the brickwork sections 1, 37, 38. The parts of the brickwork bases 15, 16 which extend into the cavities 9, 10, 39, 40 have ribs which define cavities to receive projections 11, 12, 35, 36 on the brickwork sections 1, 37, 38, and also define cavities within which reinforcing rods 22, 23, 32 and 33 are arranged. Further cavities 13, 14, 41, 42 at the upper parts of the brickwork sections 1, 37, 38 impart an upper flange to the beams 43, 44. The single bricks in the bases 15, 16, may be replaced by two bricks side-by-side, Fig. 2 (not shown).
