Abstract

1,001,569. Two-part couplings. BROWN ENGINEERING CO. Inc. May 15, 1962, No. 18551/62. Heading H2E. A pair of printed circuit boards, each with spaced, parallel contact strips on one face, are detachably linked by a bar carrying similarly spaced, double-ended, resilient contacts. In one embodiment, Fig. 2, contacts 46 are retained in recesses 30 by tabs 40 on the terminal lugs 36, the two circuit boards (not shown) being held at right-angles by being bolted against the upper and right-hand side face of the bar 29, respectively. In a modification, Fig. 4, the contacts 46 are held resiliently by spurs 50 engaging behind a central rib 48, and the two circuit boards 16, 18 are held against the parallel faces of the bar 14 by bolts 51. In another embodiment, Fig. 5, the bar 52 is bolted to one board 18, whilst the other board 16 is held between resilient contacts 68. The contact assembly is held to the bar by tabs 60.
