Abstract
1,001,244. Weighing apparatus. MASCHINENFABRIK ROSENBERG G.m.b.H. Aug. 24,1962, No. 32562/62. Heading G1W. In a concrete batching plant each aggregate from a compartmented storage box 10 (Fig. 1) is fed, by means of a drag line scraper 5 driven by a winch 20, on to a separate conveyer 11 to 14 by which conveyers each aggregate is fed in succession into a weigh container 22 of a suspended weigher 23. Limit switches (Fig. 3 not shown) arranged on the weighing apparatus control the sequence of operation of the conveyers so that as soon as sufficient weight of one aggregate has been fed into the container 22 the respective conveyer is switched off and the drive motor of a conveyer for a second aggregate is switched on and so on until all the aggregate have been fed into the container. A motor 25 is then started by the operator to open a discharge gate 24 on the container and the motor simultaneously becomes active as a shaker. The motor 25 is also used to close the discharge gate. Should one aggregate delivery fail for any reason delivery of a subsequent aggregate cannot be commenced nor can the container be discharged because of the sequential operation of the switches on the weighing apparatus.
