Abstract

1,000,849. Mounting electrical equipment. VERO ELECTRONICS Ltd. April 1, 1964 [Jan. 23, 1963], No. 2928/63. Heading H1R. [Also in Division H2] A rack for holding a plurality of printed circuit boards 18, which may be constructed as described in Specification 883,870, comprises a pair of guide bars 15 for each circuit board mounted opposite one another on rods 11 between two end plates 10. The guide bars 15 are spaced from one another along the rods 11 by spacers 14, and have slots 17 to receive the edges of the circuit boards. Each circuit board plugs into a female connector member 20 which is mounted on rails 26 by means of saddle washers 29, 30 and bolts 23. Rails 26, of metal, nylon &c., are mounted in pairs between end plates 10 by brackets 27, each of which either has a threaded hole to receive a bolt 28, as shown, or has a threaded protrusion which passes through a hole in plate 10 to engage a nut on the outside of the plate. The brackets may have cross-holes to receive clamping bolts, rivets &c., for the rails.
