Abstract

An ISO container (1) has doors (2) with ventilation panels (3). At the latter, the panel material (21) - sheet steel - is formed with a recess (4) having walls (5) extending from the normal panel face (6) to a recessed face (7). The recessed face has ventilation apertures (8). Set in the recess is a flanged intermediate panel (9). It has flanges (10) fitting closely within the recess walls (5) and abutting the recessed face. The intermediate face is held in place by fasteners (11) passing through it, rear spacers (12) and the recessed face. The intermediate face has outwards facing ventilation louvres (14). Also set in the recess, but flush with the panel face (6) is an outer panel (15). It is spaced from the intermediate panel (9) by further spacers (16) and secured by the fasteners (11). The outer panel is spaced peripherally from the recess walls by a regular gap (17).
