Abstract

A modular radiator (1) comprises interchangeable core portions (3) joined to a tube sheet (37), each having a fan (19) and open headers (5, 9). Adjacent headers are connected by a plate (13, 17) having either an opening (15) providing a flow channel therethrough, or being blank thereby providing a barrier to the flow. Interchanging blank and apertured plates allows different flow circuits to be defined, such as parallel, series and independent flow paths.
