Description
The technical area of innovation is linked to the local and decentralized production of clean hydrogen, with a production station, and its instantaneous distribution in situ to vehicles after reservation.
Depending on the demand for hydrogen, hydrogen is transported by trailers in gaseous or liquid form or by pipelines. Hydrogen is transported to hydrogen storage stations, stored in tank stations, compressed or maintained in liquid form using electricity. The hydrogen is then transported to the onboard hydrogen storage tanks under a pressure of seven hundred bars for fuel cell vehicle applications. The hydrogen production, storage, transport and distribution scheme is then long, expensive and involves high technical challenges.
In addition, geographically, the number of recharging pumps is sometimes limited compared to the number of hydrogen vehicles to be recharged. This takes time, especially if users only have access to low-pressure hydrogen charging pumps and there are many other hydrogen-powered cars to charge.
De même, certains points de recharge sont sous-utilisés ou sur-utilisés pendant la semaine (24 heures et plus de 7 jours).Likewise, some charging points are underused or overused during the week (24 hours and more than 7 days).
The present invention aims to resolve at least one of the disadvantages cited.
- réservation d’une station de recharge par le serveur distant ;
This objective is achieved with a method of producing and distributing energy such as hydrogen on demand in a system, the system comprising:
-a remote server including a charging station reservation system,
- a plurality of vehicles connected to the remote server, each connected vehicle being equipped with a fuel cell converter and at least one tank for storing hydrogen,
- a plurality of charging stations connected to said remote server, each charging station comprising at least one production station, the production station being connected to the remote server,
in which the process comprises the following steps:
- request for reservation of a charging station by a user for hydrogen recharging of the connected vehicle, the reservation request being sent to the remote server by said connected vehicle,
- reservation of a charging station by the remote server;
- validation of the reservation request by the chosen connected charging station,
- sending at least one reservation information by the chosen charging station to the connected vehicle,
- production of hydrogen by the production station in real time and according to the reservation request for said chosen recharging station, the production station being connected to the reservation system,
- choice of a charging strategy for the vehicle connected by the user to the chosen charging station,
- direct distribution of hydrogen to the connected vehicle when it arrives at the charging station chosen according to the charging strategy chosen by the user.
The present invention relates to all fuel cell vehicles, hybrid electrified and series electric vehicles with a fuel cell as the main engine or as an additional power unit for range extension (range extender). Hydrogen is produced and distributed on demand. This avoids the high investment and operating costs associated with the production, storage, transportation and distribution of hydrogen. Predictive and real-time hydrogen production is called on-demand hydrogen and works using connected vehicle technology and connected charging stations as well as production stations connected to a remote server. Hydrogen recharging at recharging stations is reserved in advance by vehicle drivers. The invention then makes it possible to coordinate and estimate the quantity of hydrogen to be produced.
In addition, the invention proposes efficient and optimized cost/time charging strategies for connected vehicles. The strategies proposed to the user of a connected vehicle have a positive effect on the environment and make it possible to optimize costs and/or time for the user.
Likewise, the number of connected vehicles to recharge varies over time for a fixed number of charging stations. The invention therefore makes it possible to coordinate and optimize the charging of a connected vehicle over time using a time/cost incentive strategy. The invention also makes it possible to optimize costs and user management time. The user can then use a connected smart strategy to achieve global coverage and enable time planning for users who can reserve time slots for charging by choosing their own cost/time preferences. This avoids arriving at the charging station and experiencing variable waiting times and high costs due to the variable number of other connected vehicle owners present.
The method can also include the following step:
- sending at least one piece of data from the connected vehicle to the remote server by the connected vehicle, the at least one piece of data corresponding to at least one of the following data: energy consumption, a state of charge of the high voltage battery, a level of hydrogen in the tank, a number of kilometers to reach the destination of the connected vehicle.
Data on energy type, quantity and estimated arrival time can be sent to the charging station when requesting a reservation by the connected vehicle user.
The reservation system for the plurality of charging stations may include reservation requests, quantities and slots for charging the plurality of charging stations.
The at least one reservation information may correspond to at least one of the following information: the location of the charging station and/or the possibility of recharging the hydrogen in the tanks.
The choice of recharge strategy by the user can be made among three recharge strategies, the three recharge strategies being:
- cooldown strategy,
- recharge cost strategy,
- production cost strategy.
The user can choose a preferred charging strategy for the connected vehicle.
The vehicle charging strategy is to the advantage of the user of said connected vehicle. The invention then makes it possible to optimize the passage of connected vehicles through variable frequency charging stations. The cost/time ratio can be modified to favor a short charging time if there are many vehicles to charge during the day, so more vehicles can be charged during a "high demand" period. Alternatively, if few vehicles need charging, the cost/time ratio can be optimized to benefit from the cost of charging. All three recharge strategies can be connected to the remote server. This makes it possible to alert the user of the connected vehicle when their preferred strategy becomes available at a charging station and its geolocation.
According to another aspect of the invention, a system is proposed for the production of energy such as hydrogen on demand, the system comprising
- a remote server including a reservation system,
- a plurality of vehicles connected to the remote server, each connected vehicle being equipped with a fuel cell converter and at least one tank for storing hydrogen,
- a plurality of charging stations connected to said remote server, each charging station comprising at least one production station, the production station being connected to the remote server,
said system implementing the steps of the method according to the invention.
Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly on reading the description illustrated by the appended drawings, in which the figures represent:
La demande de réservation est alors envoyée vers le serveur distant 3 par le véhicule connecté 1.Each connected vehicle 1 sends one or more data on, for example, the state of charge of the high voltage battery, the level of hydrogen in its tank and/or the number of kilometers to reach its destination to the remote server 3. connected vehicles 1 receive information from the remote server 3 on the location of the charging stations 4 and the possibility of recharging hydrogen. When a connected vehicle 1 is in road traffic, the number of kilometers to travel is estimated and if the energy on board the connected vehicle 1 is not sufficient, the connected vehicle 1 must plan to stop and recharge the high voltage battery, the hydrogen tanks or both. If the autonomy of the connected vehicle 1 is not sufficient or if the user prefers to stop and recharge, he makes a reservation request for energy recharge. The energy is chosen from electricity or hydrogen. The reservation request is then sent to the remote server 3 by the connected vehicle 1.
The reservation system 2 is located in the remote server 3 and takes into account all reservation requests and all user data sent by the connected vehicles 1 on the road. The remote server 3 receives the reservation request sent by the connected vehicle 1. A charging station 4 is then chosen by the remote server 3. The remote server 3 can take into account data sent by the user of the connected vehicle 1 to choose the charging station 4, the data corresponding to: a type of energy, a quantity and an estimated arrival time of the connected vehicle 1.
The charging station 4 receives the reservation request, validates it and returns at least one reservation information to the user of the connected vehicle 1. The charging plan of each charging station 4 is thus defined according to the energy quantities necessary to deliver: electricity or hydrogen. The reservation system 2 includes a reservation list, the reservation list comprising at least one of the following information: reservations, quantities and/or slots for hydrogen refueling in the charging station 4.
The production station 5 is connected to the charging station 4 via the remote server 3 and therefore also connected to the reservation system 2 of the chosen charging station 4. The reservation system 2 includes the reservation list which is transmitted to the production station 5 via the remote server 3. When the charging station 4 receives a reservation request and validates it, the production station 5 begins to operate and produce hydrogen or the energy chosen according to the reservation request. The production station 5 can also take into account the data sent by the user of the connected vehicle 1. The production station 5 uses different sources of fuel to be reformed to produce hydrogen such as for example the electrolysis of water , bio-natural gas, synthesis gas or bio-ethanol. An algorithm is used to communicate the hydrogen or electricity needed to the charging station 4 depending on the fuel source chosen.
Upon arriving at the charging station 4, the user of the connected vehicle 1 chooses a charging strategy for his connected vehicle 1. Three charging strategies are offered to the user. The charging strategies are as follows:
- cooldown strategy,
- recharge cost strategy,
- production cost strategy.
The charging time strategy is generally chosen when few vehicles are present in the charging station. In this case, the user, depending on his availability, prioritizes the charging time of the connected vehicle.
The charging cost strategy is generally chosen when many connected vehicles are present in the charging station. In this case, a recharge shorter than that of the time strategy is possible, the cost of the recharge being higher.
And finally the production cost strategy is generally chosen according to the cost of producing hydrogen. Indeed, the production cost depends on the fuel used to produce the hydrogen.
The user can choose a preferred charging strategy. In this case, the driver is warned during his route that his preferred charging strategy is available in a charging station 4. The geolocation of said charging station 4 is sent to the user.
The distribution of hydrogen by the charging station 4 is direct to the plurality of connected vehicles 1, thus avoiding the costs for the storage and transport of hydrogen. The distribution of hydrogen takes into consideration the chosen user strategy. The quantity of hydrogen produced exactly meets the reserved demand. The small-sized production station can be loaded and operated considering the time of day, with good efficiency and economic efficiency ratios.
