L'objet du présent brevet définit le concept d'un canapé modulable. The subject of this patent defines the concept of a modular sofa.

Le canapé proposé se compose d’une assise fixe et d’un dossier inclinable.The proposed sofa consists of a fixed seat and a reclining backrest.

Le dossier sépare longitudinalement le canapé en 2 parties (appelées ensuite "partie avant" et "partie arrière"). The backrest separates the sofa longitudinally into 2 parts (then called "front part" and "rear part").

Le dossier peut être basculé d'avant en arrière d'un angle de +/- 10° par rapport à la verticale. The backrest can be tilted back and forth through an angle of +/- 10° from the vertical.

Suivant la position de ce dernier, l'utilisateur peut ainsi s'assoir, au choix, sur la partie avant ou arrière de l'assise (cf. dessin ci-joint).Depending on the position of the latter, the user can thus sit, as desired, on the front or rear part of the seat (see attached drawing).

Techniquement, l'articulation du dossier s'effectue en ses extrémités, via deux axes horizontaux situés dans la structure de l'assise.Technically, the backrest is articulated at its ends, via two horizontal axes located in the structure of the seat.

L'opération de bascule est manuelle.The toggle operation is manual.

L'arrêt en rotation et le maintien en position sont quant à eux assurés par la forme de la structure de l'assise, dessinant un V d'un angle de 20° (+/- 10° par rapport à la verticale, cf. dessin technique). Stopping rotation and maintaining position are ensured by the shape of the seat structure, drawing a V at an angle of 20° (+/- 10° in relation to the vertical, cf. technical drawing).

Aucun verrouillage ni autre manipulation ne sont nécessaires à l'utilisateur.No locking or other manipulation is necessary for the user.

Ce canapé, par son dossier articulé, offre la possibilité de mettre en scène deux « espaces de vie » différents dans une même pièce. This sofa, with its articulated backrest, offers the possibility of staging two different “living spaces” in the same room.

La présence d’une cheminée dans une habitation amène à organiser son salon autour de celle-ci qui apporte un côté cosy à la pièce. Ce canapé permet également de résoudre le même type de problématique lorsque l’on dispose de grands espaces ouverts sur l’extérieur. On pourra à la fois bénéficier d’une organisation « classique » du séjour tout en ayant la possibilité de changer de décor en se retournant face à une vue sur l’extérieur.This sofa also solves the same type of problem when you have large spaces open to the outside. L’utilisateur n’a qu’une action à faire pour passer d’un espace de vie à un autre : incliner le dossier. Il change ainsi d’orientation spatiale et utilise son canapé dans un cadre totalement différent, sans avoir à retourner celui-ci.The user has only one action to do to move from one living space to another: tilt the backrest. On peut donc placer ce canapé parallèlement à une baie vitrée et ainsi profiter d’une vue sur piscine, jardin, mer, etc… tout en gardant l’organisation classique d’un salon.This sofa can therefore be placed parallel to a bay window and thus enjoy a view of the swimming pool, garden, sea, etc. while keeping the classic organization of a living room.
