L’invention concerne un outil portatif comprenant : un arbre de sortie susceptible d’entrainer en mouvement un accessoire ;un moteur pneumatique comprenant un rotor muni d’un arbre moteur, ledit moteur étant susceptible d’être alimenté en gaz comprimé pour entrainer en rotation ledit rotor;une transmission apte à transformer un mouvement de rotation dudit rotor en un mouvement dudit arbre de sortie, ladite transmission comprenant des engrenages ;un carter comprenant au moins un premier compartiment essentiellement étanche logeant lesdits engrenages et du lubrifiant et un deuxième compartiment essentiellement étanche logeant ledit moteur. Selon l’invention, ledit outil comprend des moyens de freinage et/ou de redirection, en dehors dudit premier compartiment dudit carter logeant lesdits engrenages, de fuites de gaz comprimé s’échappant dudit deuxième compartiment dudit carter logeant ledit moteur.
