Abstract

Préparation de contenus numériques accessibles en téléchargement progressif adaptatif et encodés selon une méthode d’encodage à débit variable, en fonction d’une charge réseau L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d’un contenu numérique accessible en téléchargement progressif adaptatif (HAS) par un terminal lecteur de flux multimédia connecté à un réseau de distribution dudit contenu ; le contenu numérique (C1) est associé à un fichier de description du contenu numérique, comprenant une liste de segments temporels du contenu associés chacun à plusieurs débits d’encodage apparents du contenu ; les segments temporels du contenu numérique sont encodés (20) selon une méthode d’encodage à débit variable (VBR) associé à un débit d’encodage moyen (ABR) et à un débit d’encodage maximum (MBR).Selon l’invention, un tel procédé comprend une détermination (21) des débits d’encodage apparents (Nj) exposés dans le fichier de description en association avec les segments temporels du contenu, en fonction d’au moins un critère de charge (ChNet) du réseau de distribution, un débit d’encodage apparent (Nj) pouvant prendre une valeur comprise entre le débit d’encodage moyen (ABRj) et le débit d’encodage maximum (MBRj).
