Abstract

Un procédé de détermination d’un emplacement de stockage principal pour un enregistrement de données dans un système distribué qui comprend une pluralité de banques de données (106a, 106b, 106c), dans lequel chaque banque de données est physiquement située dans un emplacement géographique correspondant (206, 208, 210). Le procécé comprend l’initialisation d’un modèle de mappage d’apprentissage automatique utilisant les informations de topologie du système distribué, et la détermination (804) d’un ensemble de vecteurs de caractéristique d’apprentissage qui sont dérivés de valeurs de métadonnées associées à une pluralité de demandes de localisation antérieures. Le modèle de mappage d’apprentissage automatique est ensuite formé (808) en utilisant l’ensemble de vecteurs de caractéristique d’apprentissage et un ensemble correspondant d’emplacements de stockage principaux cibles. Une demande de localisation est reçue (602, 702) qui est associée à un enregistrement de données, et qui inclut une pluralité de valeurs de métadonnées, et les valeurs de métadonnées sont traitées pour déterminer un vecteur de caractéristique de prédiction comprenant une pluralité de valeurs de caractéristique de prédiction.
