L'invention concerne un véhicule (1 ; 2) pour transport de conteneur comprenant un châssis (4) surmontant des moyens de roulement (5) et comprenant au moins un logement (8) de batterie (9) d'alimentation en énergie électrique autonome de moyens moteurs électriques (6) d'entraînement de tout ou partie desdits moyens de roulement (5), caractérisés en ce que ledit logement (8) est défini sous forme d'une réservation (17 ; 17A) s'étendant depuis l'un au moins des côtés latéraux (18, 19) du châssis (4) et comportant des moyens d'engagement latéral et de support (21) d'au moins un module de batterie (22), ainsi que des moyens d'interconnexion électriques (23) avec ledit module de batterie(22).
