Abstract

Il est divulgué un airbag pour véhicule automobile comprenant un boîtier dans lequel le sac est adapté pour être logé à l'état complètement dégonflé et un générateur de gaz, qui sont adaptés pour être fixés sur un élément de l'armature (14) du dossier d'un siège du véhicule, à l'arrière dudit siège ; des poches latérales (31 a,31 b) aptes à se déployer vers l'avant à partir du boîtier, respectivement de chacun des côtés d'une zone du dossier du siège correspondant au cou de l'utilisateur (20), lorsqu'elles sont gonflées par le gaz ; et, une poche arrière (32) apte à se déployer, dans un plan sensiblement vertical, à l'arrière d'une zone du dossier du siège correspondant à la tête de l'utilisateur ou à l'arrière d'un appui-tête associé au siège, lorsqu'elle est gonflée par le gaz. L'airbag apporte une protection combinée de la tête, du cou et des épaules de l'utilisateur.
