Abstract

Un dispositif de protection (1) équipe une partie avant d'une face inférieure (3) d'une assise (4) d'un siège (5), installé sur un plancher (6) d'un véhicule (7) et devant lequel est définie une zone (12) d'accueil de pieds (13). Ce dispositif (1) comprend un sac (2) gonflable, initialement replié et associé à au moins un déclencheur pyrotechnique (14) qui, en cas de réception d'une commande consécutive à un choc et/ou un freinage subi par le véhicule (7), gonfle ce sac (2) Ce sac (2) se déploie dans la zone d'accueil (12) entre le plancher (6) et les pieds (13) d'un passager (8) assis sur l'assise (4), lors de son gonflage, en définissant une partie centrale (15) placée sous ces pieds (13) et entourée par un rebord périphérique (16) protecteur.
