Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'absorption d'énergie modulaire (9), comprenant : - un support (91) avec des portions de fixation (81) formant les fixations uniques dudit dispositif sur une colonne de direction, - un organe déformant (94) relié fixement au support, - un absorbeur (93) enroulé autour de l'organe déformant et assemblé fixement à chacune de ses extrémités au support, - un organe d'accroche (96) formé d'une pièce distincte du support et présentant un premier côté relié fixement à l'absorbeur et un deuxième côté présentant au moins une première forme d'engagement (96a), ledit dispositif étant agencé de manière à ce que l'exercice de forces en des sens opposés respectivement sur le support et sur la dent entraine une contrainte sur la portion enroulée de l'absorbeur tendant à la déformation de ce dernier.
