Balai d'essuie-glace (10), comportant une lame d'essuyage (12) et un adaptateur (14) ayant une première pièce de serrage (16) et une seconde pièce de serrage (18) ainsi qu'un élément de maintien (20) muni de moyens (22) pour sa fixation à un bras d'essuie-glace. L'élément de maintien (20) est emmanché parallèlement à la lame d'essuyage (12) sur la première pièce de serrage (16 et/ou la seconde pièce de serrage (18) pour assurer la fixation et bloquer la première pièce de serrage (16) et la seconde pièce de serrage (18) transversalement à la lame d'essuyage (12).
