Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fonctionnement d'un système d'assistance (1) à la conduite du type assistance au centrage d'un véhicule (2) dans une voie de circulation (7) susceptible d'être délimitée latéralement par des premier et deuxième éléments de marquage (8a, 8b), le procédé comprenant une étape de contrôle (15) du positionnement du véhicule (2) selon une trajectoire initiale (9) définie relativement à ces premier et deuxième éléments de marquage (8a, 8b) de la voie de circulation (7) et une étape de correction (22) de ladite trajectoire initiale (9) lorsque cette voie de circulation (7) change de configuration visuelle et/ou structurelle notamment lors d'un élargissement (11) de ladite voie (7).
