Abstract

L'invention porte principalement sur un procédé d'aide au diagnostic d'éléments fonctionnels (4, 6, 7, 8) d'un système de dépollution (3) des gaz d'échappement caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte les étapes suivantes: - une étape de lecture d'une valeur d'un paramètre de diagnostic des éléments fonctionnels (4, 6, 7, 8) du système de dépollution (3), - une étape de comparaison de la valeur du paramètre de diagnostic par rapport à un seuil limite, et - dans le cas où la valeur du paramètre de diagnostic est proche du seuil limite, ledit procédé comporte: - une étape de calcul d'un parcours alternatif du véhicule automobile par rapport à un parcours habituel, le parcours alternatif rassemblant des conditions de roulage nécessaires au diagnostic des éléments fonctionnels (4, 6, 7, 8) du système de dépollution (3), et - une étape d'affichage du parcours alternatif précédemment calculé sur un écran d'un système de géolocalisation (12).
