Abstract

The present invention relates to an inventory management system using RFID tags of different types and allowing the automatic synchronization of a database containing information relating to the presence and the state of these objects. It also concerns two practical applications of this system. The first concerns data center inventory management (DataCenter) allowing for a reliable inventory of bays while offering assistance with the installation and removal of equipment. The second concerns the management of the inventory of food products with expiry dates (DLC) or expiry dates for optimal use (DLUO). This application allows the automatic detection of food products to be removed and provides assistance to the operator in charge of the removal.
