Procédé de durcissement par explosion d'une ou plusieurs surfaces à traiter (20a) d'une pièce (8) métallique pour la fabrication d'une pièce métallique durcie, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une étape de mise en contact d'un explosif liquide (11), contenu dans au moins une concavité d'un réceptacle (3), avec lesdites surfaces à traiter (20a).
