L'invention s'applique plus particulièrement au montage d'un arbre primaire ou secondaire dans un carter d'une boîte de vitesses de véhicule automobile. Pour ce faire, on connaît un roulement dont la bague extérieure présente une gorge périphérique formée entre une portée avant présentant un premier diamètre et une portée arrière présentant un deuxième diamètre qui est supérieur audit premier diamètre. En outre, la bride présente un alésage dont le diamètre est compris entre lesdits premier et deuxième diamètres. Ainsi, par coulissement relatif de l'alésage autour de la portée avant, on peut monter la bride en appui axial sur la portée arrière avec ledit alésage en regard radial de la gorge. Ensuite, selon le document FR-2 978 513, l'assemblage peut être réalisé en déformant radialement des barrettes de la bride dans un état d'interférence axiale avec le premier diamètre, ladite interférence étant notamment suffisante pour assembler la bride et le roulement en un seul composant pouvant être manipulé en vue de sa fixation sur une structure environnante. Pour satisfaire aux différentes fonctions attendues, la bride est classiquement réalisée par emboutissage d'un matériau métallique, notamment en présentant des moyens permettant respectivement le montage de l'arbre par l'intermédiaire du roulement, la fixation de la bride sur la structure environnante et l'assemblage de ladite bride sur la bague extérieure préalablement à ladite fixation. Toutefois, les brides embouties ne permettent pas de satisfaire de façon optimale à l'ensemble de ces différentes contraintes. En particulier, la résistance mécanique est obtenue au détriment du poids et la fiabilité des moyens de montage, de fixation et d'assemblage s'accompagne d'une complexification de la mise en oeuvre de l'emboutissage, notamment pour la formation de l'alésage et d'orifices de fixation dans la bride. L'invention a pour but de résoudre les problèmes de l'art antérieur en proposant notamment un roulement comprenant une bride de fixation assemblée sur sa bague extérieure, ladite bride pouvant être réalisée de façon simple en remplissant de façon optimale les différentes fonctions attendues tout en maîtrisant son poids et sa résistance mécanique.The invention applies more particularly to mounting a primary or secondary shaft in a housing of a motor vehicle gearbox.
