Les zones d'extrémité 42 des pattes de fixation 4 sont situées sensiblement dans le prolongement latéral d'une face avant du panneau 1. Selon l'invention, l'interface de fixation 3 est fixée au panneau 1 via les branches de fixation 2 de façon à constituer un ensemble solidaire. Cet ensemble est fixé sur son support, typiquement un élément de structure de planche de bord d'un véhicule, en disposant les pattes de fixation inférieures 102 du panneau 1 dans leurs fentes ou évidements respectifs du support, avec une inclinaison vers l'avant (c'est-à-dire vers les passagers) du panneau 1 permettant cette mise en place. L'ensemble panneau 1-interface de fixation 3 est ensuite plaqué contre le support sur sa zone d'accueil, en le pivotant vers l'arrière. Les pattes de fixation 4 situées aux extrémités libres des parties latérales 32 de l'interface de fixation 3 sont alors fixées au support par la mise en place de vis de fixation traversant chacune des pattes 4. Le vissage s'effectue par l'avant suivant une direction de vissage sensiblement horizontale sensiblement parallèle à la direction longitudinale X, ou avec une légère inclinaison de quelques degrés par rapport à celle-ci. Cette inclinaison est au maximum de 30°.
