La présente invention concerne un système de transmission hydrostatique de véhicule, comprenant : - un moteur primaire (M) entrainant en rotation un arbre primaire (31), - un arbre de sortie (1) adapté pour entrainer une roue en rotation, - un train de pignons (3) formant une chaine mécanique entre l'arbre primaire (31) et l'arbre de sortie (1) via un arbre secondaire (32), - un moteur hydraulique lent (42) à pistons radiaux, - un moteur rapide (43) du type moteur hydraulique à pistons axiaux ou moteur électrique, - une pompe hydraulique (41) à cylindrée variable adaptée pour être sélectivement couplée ou désengagée de l'arbre primaire (31) et adaptée pour alimenter en pression le ou lesdits moteurs hydrauliques (42, 43), - une commande (5), adaptée pour piloter l'entrainement en rotation de l'arbre de sortie (1) par le moteur hydraulique lent (42), par le moteur rapide (43) ou par l'arbre
