Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a mast-type forklift, of the type comprising a cabin disposed on a wheel-mounted chassis and containing a driving position, and comprising a mast carried at the front of the chassis.
A first drawback of forklift trucks of known type is to offer the operator a limited field of view, especially when lifting a load. Indeed, the amounts of the cabin and the mechanism of the mast extend in front of the operator and prevent him from having a good vision of the load carried by the lifting forks. A second disadvantage of forklift trucks of known type is their limited stability, especially when placing a load height. Indeed, the placement of a load height requires placing the load cantilever ahead of the front wheels, which may unbalance the truck, because of the detachment of the rear wheels. A first object of the invention is to propose a new mast lift truck overcoming the drawbacks of the known state of the art.
A second object of the invention is to increase the comfort and safety of an operator placed at a driving position disposed in a mast lift truck cabin. The invention relates to a mast-type forklift, of the type comprising a cabin arranged on a chassis mounted on wheels and containing a driving position, and comprising a mast carried on the front of the chassis, characterized in that the cabin has a convex front face, extending upwardly, so as to increase upward the field of view of an operator placed in the driving position.
According to other alternative features of the invention: the cab has profiled front uprights to increase the field of view of an operator placed in the driving position forward. - The cab has contoured rear uprights to increase the field of view of an operator placed in the driving position. - The cab is movable in a direction corresponding to an increase in the stability of the carriage, when using the mast to lift a load or to place a load in height. - The operator's position is preferably a tilting position to follow the path of a high load or placed in height by means of the lifting mast. The mast is mounted at the front of the chassis by means of a member situated under the sighting angle of the operator placed at the driving station. - The member located under the sighting angle of the operator placed in the driving position is advantageously a rotary cylinder. The carriage comprises a means of energy recovery during the lowering of the mast, to recover the potential energy of a downward load. - The driving position is at least partially pivoting, in particular to facilitate driving in reverse of the truck. The invention will be better understood from the following description given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 schematically represents a side view along the arrow I of FIG. forklift with mast according to the invention.
Figure 2 schematically shows a top view of a forklift truck according to the invention. Figure 3 schematically shows a side view along the arrow III of Figure 2 of a forklift according to the invention. Figure 4 schematically shows a top view of a forklift truck according to the invention flowing in reverse. With reference to FIGS. 1 to 4, identical or functionally equivalent elements are marked with identical reference numerals. In Figure 1, a forklift truck according to the invention comprises a frame (1) self-propelled, and a mast (2) carried on the front of the frame (1). The mast (2) carries handling forks (3) for handling a load (C). The frame (1) is mounted on four wheels (4). Each wheel (4) is preferably in the form of a wheel motor, preferably a hydraulic wheel motor, powered by a hydraulic pump driven by a motor or a power unit mounted on the frame (1). The frame (1) carries a sliding rail or slider (5) to allow the translation of a cabin (6) containing a driving station (7) placed in the cabin (6). Preferably, the translation of the cabin (6) is a substantially horizontal translation, from front to back relative to the direction of travel.
The cabin (6) has an upwardly convex front end (8) to provide the operator with a field of view on the load (C) placed on the handling forks (3). Advantageously, the driving position (7) is pivotally mounted to enable the course of the load (C) raised to be followed by means of the lifting mast (2) provided with the handling forks (3). The transparent convex front (8) of the cabin (6) extends to a crossbar (9) disposed towards the middle of the cabin (6). The convex face (8) is delimited laterally by two lateral uprights (10). The lateral uprights (10) may have a curved shape, because the side doors of the cabin (6) are preferably articulated towards the rear, to facilitate entry and exit of the operator of the driving position ( 7). In Figure 2, the lifting mast (2) has two vertical uprights (2a, 2b) having a shaped shape to provide the operator a minimal obstruction of the field of view. Each upright (2a or 2b) has a conformation narrowing towards the driving position (7) and having an opening angle substantially corresponding to an angle of sight of the operator placed in the driving position. Advantageously, the lateral uprights (10) of the cabin (6) are arranged inside the solid angle generated by the uprights (2a, 2b) of the lifting mast (2). The operator placed at the driving position (7) thus does not perceive a narrowing of the field of view by the presence of the front lateral uprights (10), because the lateral uprights (10) are superimposed with the uprights ( 2a, 2b) of the lifting mast. The cabin (6) has rear uprights (11) which are advantageously profiled to increase rearward field of view of the operator placed in the driving position (7). These arrangements to increase the field of vision of the operator placed in the driving position provide comfort and improved safety for the operator placed in the driving position (7). In FIG. 3, an operator places a load in height by means of the lifting mast (2). To prevent the rear wheels from being detached from the ground and the forklift tilting around the front wheels, the operator controls the retreating the cabin (6) by sliding on the rail (5). The retreat of the cabin (6) and the driving position (7) thus makes it possible to use the cabin (6) and the driving position (7) as a counterweight to increase the stability of the lift truck according to the invention. The operator can also, in this position, observe the load (C) handled because of the inclination of the driving position (7). The retreat of the cabin (6) further improves the visibility on the load (C), while ensuring the safety and stability of the forklift according to the invention. By way of example, a recoil of the car (6) with a translation travel of between 100 and 400 mm clearly improves the stability of the lift truck according to the invention, without any significant modification of the dimensions of the self-propelled chassis (1). .
Advantageously, a forklift truck according to the invention comprises a system for automatically managing the position of the car (6) to improve the stability of the lift truck.
This management system forklift truck according to the invention advantageously comprises a means of energy recovery during the lowering of the mast, to recover the potential energy of a falling load. To further improve the visibility of the operator, it is advantageous to provide a tilting member located under the sighting angle of the operator placed in the driving position, when gripping a load in the low position. This tilting member replacing the tilt cylinders of the prior art is preferably a rotary jack for tilting the mast backwards when transporting a load, or tilting the mast forward when removing a load in height. The management system of the mast forklift according to the invention coordinates the inclination of the mast, and the control of the rotary inclination cylinder with the position of the cabin (6), to control the stability of the lift truck according to the invention . In Figure 4, a forklift truck according to the invention circulates in reverse, in particular to take a turn in reverse.
The mast forklift according to the invention comprises a driving station (7) pivoting. The driving position (7) is moved in reverse to a pivoting position facilitating the visibility of the operator, and increasing the safety of the pipe.
The operator seated at the driving position (7) in the rotated position shown in Figure 4 monitors the lateral movement of the forklift, without turning on its seat, effectively and ergonomically.
According to another variant, the driving position (7) can pivot in half, leaving the controls in a fixed position and allowing only the pivoting of the operator's seat. This pivoting variant facilitates the entry and exit of the cabin (6), without fatigue for the operator.
The invention described with reference to a particular embodiment is in no way limited thereto, but on the contrary covers any modification of form and any variant embodiment within the scope and spirit of the appended claims.
