Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de régénération d'un filtre à particules (32) disposé dans une conduite d'échappement (30) débouchant d'un moteur à combustion interne (22), une alimentation principale en carburant pour une combustion dans le moteur (22) étant commandée par un dispositif de commande (40), la conduite d'échappement (30) comportant d'amont en aval un dispositif catalytique d'oxydation (31) et le filtre à particules (32), ledit procédé utilisant une combustion, dans le dispositif catalytique d'oxydation (31), de carburant injecté tardivement dans le moteur (22) pendant des phases d'échappement. Selon l'invention, quand le dispositif de commande (40) est dans un état commandant une alimentation principale de carburant nulle, l'injection tardive de carburant est inhibée.
