Abstract

The invention relates to an anode electrode (A) for a fuel cell. The electrode comprises a gas diffusion layer (GDL) capable of ensuring the diffusion of reactive gases, and an active layer (CA) which is the site of an oxidation reaction of a reactive gas that has diffused from said gas diffusion layer (GDL). The electrode is characterised in that the gas diffusion layer (GDL) comprises a porous foam (MP2) made of nickel, as well as an aluminium-nickel alloy (Al-Ni) distributed in the pores of said nickel foam, and the active layer (CA) comprises microporous nickel (MP3), capable of acting as a catalyst of the oxidation reaction of the reactive gas.
