Abstract
Description
The present invention generally relates to a protective part of a charging plug connected to a motor vehicle by a cable mounted on an automatic winder. It is known in the art for tap protections, such as those described for example in documents US Pat. No. 5,433,623 or US Pat. No. 2,015,093,17. These two documents describe protection caps for electrical plug connection interfaces. especially the disadvantages of being bulky and impractical. Indeed, the plug is equipped with gripping means and to manipulate the protective caps, the user must use his second hand to handle them. Then, the handles disclosed do not make it easy to grasp the card if it is pulled into a housing by a winder. The housing will therefore have to be oversized to provide a passage for the user to grab the handle. Furthermore, the document discloses a plug equipped with a handle. This handle has the same disadvantages as the handles of the aforementioned documents: its arrangement imposes a large clearance in a storage compartment where the plug would be pulled by a cable winder. It can be noted finally that this document does not propose any solution for protecting or sealing the connection area when the plug is not connected to its base, so that the pins can be exposed to dust or even water, which compromises the safety of the user. An object of the present invention is to meet the drawbacks of the prior art documents mentioned above and in particular, first of all, to provide a protective part of an electrical plug that is easy to handle.
For this purpose, a first aspect of the invention relates to a protection part of an electrical plug, the electrical plug comprising a body connected to a vehicle by a cable on one side and having a connection interface on the other side, the protective member being adapted to occupy a protective position on the cable and having protective means arranged to protect the body and the connection interface when the protective part is in the protective position, characterized in that the protective part comprises gripping means arranged on the protection means. The arrangement of the gripping means on the protection means gives good ergonomics to the protection piece. Indeed, it is sufficient for the user to grasp the gripping means to also manipulate the protection means, which simplifies the use of the protective part. In addition, the plug and the body are well protected in case of contact because the means of protection surround the plug. In addition, the choice of a flexible material can easily prevent damage to the vehicle body if the piece protecting the socket hits the vehicle. It is possible to envisage using rubber, a porous material such as an EPDM foam or silicone, for example. Advantageously, the protection element comprises first protection means arranged to cover at least partially the connection interface of the plug when the protection piece is in the protective position and second protection means arranged to at least partially surround the body of the plug when the protective member is in the protective position. The protection of the plug is complete: both the body and the connection interface are protected. Advantageously, the protection part comprises holding means on the cable connected to the protection means, the holding means are arranged to slide on the cable and they are able to abut on the body of the electrical plug for define the protection position of the protection part. This implementation according to the present invention defines a protection piece capable of sliding on the cable and defining the protective position by a stop on the body of the electric plug, so that the user can also handle the plug by entering the gripping means. A particularly interesting embodiment is that the gripping means are arranged on the first protection means a opposite of the holding means. In this way, the user can grasp the gripping means on the opposite side of the cable, which provides a small radial space around the cable and the plug because the gripping means are arranged opposite the cable, in its alignment. . In a very advantageous manner, the protection means comprise an opening to enable the electrical plug to be removed from the protection means. It is easy to take the plug out of the protective part with such an opening. Advantageously, the protection means are arranged to cooperate and provide a seal with a storage compartment of the vehicle wherein the electrical plug is adapted to be held in place by a retractor exerting a tensile force on the cable. The protective means surrounding the electrical plug are used to provide additional sealing benefit by cooperating with the storage housing. The winder naturally pulls on the cable and thus on the protection piece via its abutment with the body of the plug, which provides the tightness of the storage compartment with the protective means which cooperate with the housing. himself. Furthermore, it should be noted that the gripping means arranged opposite the holding means reduce the size of the storage slot, because there is no need to provide a passage for the user around the sheet for him to grab it. Advantageously, the first protection means a comprise a disc which cooperates and provides sealing with the vehicle housing and in that the gripping means are arranged on the disc. This implementation is economical to achieve and does not create complicated interface with the housing of the vehicle. In addition, the gripping means are easy to grasp for the user.
Advantageously, the gripping means are a handle. This implementation is ergonomic and easy to implement on a disk. Advantageously, the holding means comprise a bore capable of sliding around the cable and in that the bore is split to allow the protective part to be dismounted. This slot according to the invention makes it easy to remove and replace the protective part if the latter is worn or damaged. A second aspect of the invention is a motor vehicle comprising at least one protection piece according to the first aspect of the invention.
Other features and advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly on reading the following detailed description of an embodiment of the invention given by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the appended drawing, in which: FIG. 1 represents a protection piece according to the invention, in perspective; - Figure 2 shows the protective part of Figure 1 in rear view. FIG. 1 shows a protection piece 10 according to the invention, in a protective position around an electrical plug 100 of a vehicle. The electrical plug 100 is connected to the vehicle by an electric cable 110 mounted on a self-retracting retractor for example. The body 100a of the electrical plug is connected on one side to the cable 110 and on the other side has connection pins 120. The protection part 10 has protection means 10a and 10b which surround the electrical plug 100 so that to prevent shocks between the electrical plug 100 and the body of the vehicle - 5 - for example when rewinding too fast which can generate "lashes" with the free end of the cable 110. The protective part 10 can slide on the cable 110 through a bore 31 (shown in Figure 2) and has a shoulder 30 which comes into mechanical abutment on the body 100 of the electrical plug 100, to put the protective member 10 in the protective position. The protective part 10 also comprises a handle 20 which provides means for gripping the protective part 10. This handle 20, arranged on the disk 10a in opposition to the bore 30 for holding on the cable 110, makes it possible to grip the protection piece 10 and therefore the electrical plug 100 without having to pass around the body 100a, which avoids having to provide a passage in a housing where would be stored the electrical plug 100, pulled by the winder for example. The dimensions of the housing are reduced. In addition, the disk 10a may be sized to bear on a shoulder of the storage housing, so as to provide protection of the storage housing when the plug is in, and even a sealing of the housing. A slot 35a is used to pass the cable 110 to remove the protective part 10 of the electrical plug 100, in the case where the protective part 10 is worn, and / or damaged.
Figure 2 shows the protective part 10 in rear view. The slot 35b also assists in the mounting and dismounting of the protective part 10 on the cable 110, by allowing a spacing of the bore 31 and the protection means 10b which connect the protection disk 10a to the bore 31 and to the means 30.
