Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a motor vehicle. The invention more particularly relates to a motor vehicle whose arrangement is adjustable between: - a first configuration of type "pick-up two rows of semi-covered seats" defined by a passenger compartment comprising from front to rear at least a front portion and a rear part separated by a bow, - said front part comprising at least one row of front seats adapted to be covered by at least one rigid roof element, - said rear part comprising at least one open row of rear seats and a compartment of the "tipper" type delimited by lateral and rear bodywork elements which extend upwards to a common waistbelt, - a second configuration of the "pick-up two rows of covered seats" type in which the row of rear seats is protected by at least one element.
Numerous examples of motor vehicles configurable according to this arrangement are known. These are essentially vehicles for which the element adapted to protect the rear seats is made of a soft top. However, the current trend in terms of discoverable vehicle is to offer vehicles whose removable structures are rigid on the contrary, to provide better protection both in case of shock as well as attempts to intrude. The invention advantageously makes it possible to propose an arrangement of the aforementioned type comprising rigid removable elements. For this purpose, the invention proposes a vehicle of the type described above, characterized in that it comprises at least two lateral elements consisting of removable stretchers, which are able to occupy a disassembled configuration associated with the configuration of "pick-up two" rows of semi-covered seats "and a mounted configuration, associated with the configuration of" pick-up two rows of seats covered ", in which each is fixed on the one hand on the waistline between the rear row of seats and the bucket and secondly on an upper transverse end of the arch. According to other characteristics of the invention: the passenger compartment comprises housings adapted to receive the stretchers; the housings are formed in the side walls of the passenger compartment on either side of the row of rear seats; each stretcher has substantially the shape of a bracket comprising a vertical upright which has a lower end, able to be fixed on the waistbelt between the row of rear seats and the bucket, a horizontal spar and a front end, which is able to be fixed on the transverse end of the arch; - The upper transverse ends of the arch 20 comprise housings intended to receive by fitting the front end of each horizontal spar conform; each housing comprises a bottom from which horizontally extends a centering pin which is able to be received in the corresponding front end of the associated horizontal spar; a locking mechanism is interposed between the lower end of the upright of each stretcher and the waistbelt, said mechanism comprising a substantially cylindrical bolt extending from the lower end of the stretcher which is received through a corresponding drilling of a plate carried by the waistline, and which is adapted to be locked to said plate by means of at least one expandable member internal to the bolt, which is mounted radially movable in the bolt between a position retracted and a locking position in which it protrudes radially out of the bolt to prevent the extraction of said bolt out of the bore; - The bolt is tubular and the expandable member comprises a ball which is received in a radial bore of the bolt and which is capable of being biased radially by an inner axial slide of the bolt to project partially out of the bore; - The stretchers are able to receive a roof element; - The stretchers are able to receive a glazed element forming a rear window. Other features and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the detailed description which follows for the understanding of which reference will be made to the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is an overall view of a vehicle according to FIG. the invention shown in the first configuration; FIG. 2 is an overall view of the vehicle according to FIG. 1 represented in the second configuration; - Figure 3 is a detail view in perspective of a transverse end of the arch for receiving a first end of a stretcher; Figure 4 is a detail perspective view of the waistline and associated second end of the stretcher. In the following description, like reference numerals designate like parts or having similar functions. FIG. 2 shows a motor vehicle 10 comprising a passenger compartment 12 which essentially comprises a front portion 14 and a rear portion 16. The front 14 and rear 16 portions are separated by a hoop 18.
The front part 14 comprises in known manner at least one row of front seats 20 adapted to be covered by at least one rigid roof element 22, for example two roof elements 22.
The rear portion 16 comprises for its part at least one row 24 of rear seats and a compartment 26 of the type "bucket" which are delimited by lateral body members 28 such as rear wings and a rear body member 30 such as a dump door that extends upward to a common body belt 32. The front portion 14 and the portion of the rear portion 16 corresponding to the row of rear seats 24 define a vehicle cell capable of receiving passengers. In known manner, the arrangement of the vehicle 10 is adjustable between a first configuration of "pick-up two rows of semi-covered seats", as shown in Figure 1, wherein the row 24 of rear seats is discovered, and a second configuration of "pick-up two rows of covered seats", shown in Figure 2, wherein the row 24 of rear seats is protected by at least one element. As is known from the state of the art, such an element may for example consist of a soft top. This hood has the disadvantage of not providing sufficient safety in case of rollover of the vehicle, and also not to form a sufficient barrier to attempts of intrusion and theft inside the vehicle. The invention overcomes this disadvantage by providing a vehicle comprising at least one such rigid element. For this purpose, the invention proposes a vehicle of the type described above, characterized in that it comprises at least two lateral elements 34, or "stretcher", removable, which are able to occupy a disassembled configuration associated with the configuration of type pick-up two rows of seats sem i covered, and a configuration, shown in Figure 2, wherein each is fixed firstly on the waistline 32 between the row 24 of rear seats and the bucket 26 and on the other hand on an upper transverse end 36 of the arch 18.
This latter configuration is particularly advantageous because it protects the row 24 of rear seats with stretchers 34 able to avoid crushing passengers in case of rollover of the vehicle. In addition, the stretchers 34 are adapted to receive a roof element 10 (not shown) or a glazed rear window element, to provide a cover of the seats of the rear row 24. In addition, the passenger compartment 12 comprises housing 38 adapted to receive the stretchers 34. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the housings 38 are formed in side walls 40 of the cabin cell, more particularly on either side of the row 24 of the cabin. rear seats. As can be seen in Figure 2, each stretcher 34 20 has the shape of a bracket with a substantially vertical upright 42 which has a lower end 44 adapted to be fixed on the waist belt 32 between the row of rear seats 24 and the bucket 26. Each stretcher 34 also has a horizontal spar 46 which has a forward end 48 which is adapted to be attached to the transverse end 36 of the arch 18. As shown in FIG. upper 36 of the hoop 18 comprise housings 50 for receiving by fitting the corresponding front end 48 corresponding to each horizontal spar 46. For this purpose, each housing 50 comprises a bottom 52 from which extends horizontally horizontally a pawn 54 which is adapted to be received in the corresponding front end 48 of the associated horizontal spar 46. Furthermore, a locking mechanism 56 is interp vented between the lower end of the upright 42 of each stretcher 34 and the waist belt 32. As shown in Figure 4, this mechanism 56 preferably comprises a substantially cylindrical bolt 58 extending from the lower end 44 of the stretcher 34, and which is received through a bore 60 conformed in a plate 62 carried by the waist belt 32. The bolt 58 is adapted to be locked to said plate 62 via at least one member expandable 64 internally to the bolt. This member 64 is mounted radially movable in the bolt 58 between a retracted position and a locking position in which, once the bolt 58 is inserted through the plate 62, the member 64 protrudes radially out of the bolt 58 to prevent the extraction of said bolt 58 out of the bore 60. Preferably, the bolt 58 is tubular and the expandable member comprises at least one ball 64 which is received in a radial bore 66 of the bolt 58 and which can be biased radially by an internal axial slider (not shown) of the bolt 58 to project partially out of the bore 66 and thus block the bolt on the back of the plate 62. Such a mechanism 56 is better known as the "ballfix" mechanism.
The invention therefore makes it possible to propose a vehicle whose rear seats can be selectively discovered and protected by means of stretchers 34 which can be easily disassembled and loaded onto the vehicle.
