Abstract

The method involves controlling a converter (4) in a boost mode or step-down voltage of a point i.e. input terminal (E), relative to another point i.e. output terminal (S), by using a control unit (7). The converter is controlled in an open mode to obtain control voltage in a storage device i.e. battery, or another voltage in an onboard network. The converter is controlled in a supply mode in case of occurrence of deceleration of a car (1) when main voltage of the onboard network is greater than or equal to a threshold voltage for allowing recharging of the storage device. An independent claim is also included for a car.
